Oklahoma Movement provides open community dance and movement classes including Ballet, High Fitness, Broadway Dance, Somatic Dance and Contemporary. It is our firm belief that dance should be accessible to every human being.
Contemporary Ballet Class
$10/person every Sunday from 12:00-1:00pm
Location: The Flyloft at 117 N. Boston Ave
Join us for an exciting contemporary ballet class with the Oklahoma Movement Company! This in-person event will take place on Sundays, starting January 5, 2025 at the Flyloft in the Arts District.

Movement Mix Classes
$10/person Every Wednesday 6-7pm

Come join us for an exhilarating evening of dance at the Oklahoma Movement Mix classes! Get ready to groove to the rhythm and let your body sway to the beats. This in-person event will take place every Wednesday starting Wed January 8 2025 at 6pm at the FLYLOFT. The venue is located at 117 North Boston Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74103.
Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just someone who loves to move, this event is perfect for you. We have a diverse lineup of talented instructors who will showcase various dance styles, from Somatic to Contemporary and everything in between.

1st Wednesday: High Fitness
Jan 8, Feb 25, March 5 from 6-7pm
With Kimberly WallHigh Fitness is an aerobic cardio class that combines cardio and toning tracks to give you a full body workout. The best way to find out what High classes are like is to attend! Options are included for all fitness levels and no equipment is needed. Just throw on some comfy clothes, supportive shoes, and get ready to have a sweaty blast!

2nd Wednesday: Broadway Dance
Jan 15, Feb 12, March 12 from 6-7pm
With Jen AldenThis class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Class includes warm-up, stretches, isolations, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Center will feature combinations inspired by classic choreographers such as Jerome Robbins and Bob Fosse. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and performance quality.

3rd Wednesday: Somatic Dance
Jan 22, Feb 19, March 19 from 6-7pm
With Nina Madsen PuckettThis dynamic class is derived from Embodied Anatomy, Modern Dance, Laban Movement Analysis, the Bartenieff Fundamentals and additional Somatic Concepts. We begin with a basic warm up while standing and on the floor, and gradually transition into more dynamic movement explorations, exercises and combinations. The focus of the class is to gain a deer understanding of the mind-body connection while engaging in free flowing movement exercises that work with the body's natural tendencies, yielding into gravity and exploring the space around it.

4th Wednesday: Contemporary Jazz
Jan 29, Feb 26, March 26 from 6-7pm
With Karmen Golden BoughA 40 minute center floor jazz warm up that works on various things like endurance, technique, muscle control, stretching and strengthening. Followed by classic technique focused across the floor.
